In an era where everything is in an on demand mode, it is helpful to remember that life is more a marathon than a sprint or speed race. In fact, some of the tips that make good runners work well in our lifelong marathon: Christine Luff of the website Very Well recommends that runners do the following:
- Start Slow
- Run your own race
- Keep emotions in check
- Beat Boredom
- Set Milestones
- Think Outside Yourself
- Talk to Yourself
- Stay Positive
With all the fear and uncertainty in today’s world, sometimes we need to remember to take care of ourselves so that we can take care of others. No matter where you find yourself in your life’s marathon, set a pace, run your own race, establish milestones, and remember to stay positive. As we honor Dr. King today, his words encouraging us to keep moving forward are especially inspiring. You will get there if you keep hope alive!
Honoring and encouraging! Thank you! : )
