Some years ago, I travelled through England, Scotland and Wales . One image especially sticks in my mind. Near the end of the two-week excursion, I spent a full day in Stratford-Upon-Avon. It was late May and the days were long. As the sun began to set, the church bells rang from the Holy Trinity tower, the swans floated so gracefully upon the calm water. It was a picture perfect setting.
I snapped a number of photos but none really did justice to what I had witnessed. It was a moment that could not be captured on film. The sound of the bells, the smell of late Spring, the vision of those graceful swans. Perhaps my memory is the most fitting way to recall that evening.
I like that picture.

My daughter lives really close to Statford-upon-Avon, and I visited every year, up until 4 years ago, when I now take care of my husband 24/7
