Gimme dat “Rare” Thing

The VW Thing was on the American auto scene for just a short time in the mid-seventies and is certainly a rare sight today.   A fun  vehicle that was some kind of cross between a retro Woodie and a dune buggy. Unfortunately for the Thing, it was born in the muscle car were popular not in the era of the SUV.
